Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a physiological component of plant and human cell membranes, particularly their inner membranes. During apoptosis, the controlled process of cell death, PS signals macrophages (phagocytes of the immune system) to surround the cell and digest it completely. As in the entire body, PS develops regenerative properties, especially in the skin, and acts as a signaling substance to dampen inflammatory processes by inhibiting inflammatory mediators and mediating the release of anti-inflammatory substances.
The nanodispersion's liquid consistency makes it easy to spread on the skin, quickly absorbed, and smoothing. It is used in adjuvant corneotherapy as a lotion or in modular form, and in combination with dermaviduals® base creams for dry solar erythema, eczema, atopic skin, and psoriasis.
