APPLICATION
Oleogel R is applied to the skin as needed and spread evenly. Oleogel R can also be used for massage, if necessary with the addition of fatty oils such as avocado oil.

PROPERTIES
Oleogel R is designed for the care of sensitive skin. When the skin's barrier function is compromised, there is a strong need for high doses of lipids. However, the use of high-fat skin preparations is generally contraindicated, especially when anaerobic bacteria are present on the problem skin. Oleogel R has a maximum fat content without this disadvantage. Essential gamma-linolenic acid, azelaic acid, boswellic acids, and betulinic acid support the prevention of inflammatory skin reactions. Urea has an antipruritic effect. Zinc compounds have a complementary antimicrobial effect. Very small amounts are sufficient for application, as Oleogel R is extremely effective in supplying damaged skin with lipids (about 3-4 times the effectiveness of an emulsion).
