PROPERTIES
Butcher's broom extract contains ruscin, ruscogenin, and neo-ruscogenin, as well as the alkaloid sparteine. Similar to vitamin K1, which is no longer approved for cosmetic use, the extract, together with the synergistic aescin from horse chestnut, stabilizes the superficial vessels and the surrounding connective tissue. It can therefore be used for skin care for reddening and swelling of the skin, including around the eyes.
