PROPERTIES
Hyaluronic acid is a natural mucopolysaccharide consisting of glucuronic acid units linked to N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. The acid and its sodium salt (sodium hyaluronate) are known as highly effective moisturizers in skin care products and, as endogenous substances, play a major role in skin physiology. The molecular weight of the hyaluronic acid used is between 1.8 and 2.2 x 1,000,000 Daltons.
