PROPERTIES
Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) regulates the protein kinase inhibitor p57, which is responsible for the formation of keratins and filaggrins in the skin. This leads to increased filaggrin production, increasing skin thickness and counteracting the aging process. Filaggrin deficiency is common in people with irritated, reddened, or cracked skin.
Collagenase-inhibiting properties of EGCG have also been described in the literature.
EGCG liposomes can therefore be used both as an anti-aging agent and for the treatment and regeneration of irritated, reddened, and cracked skin.
Liposomes ensure optimal availability of EGCG in the skin.
The pure concentrate has the highest effectiveness.
