CHARACTERISTICS
Nanoparticles stabilize the high dose of frankincense extract (Boswellia serrata) and transport the active ingredient into the skin. Frankincense extract inhibits proteases and 5-lipoxygenase, a key enzyme in inflammatory processes. Frankincense extract encapsulated in nanoparticles is therefore used not only for anti-aging care, but also as an adjunct skin care product for inflammatory skin diseases, especially actinic keratoses. Phytosterols support the care of barrier-damaged skin.
